is this good enough for XBMC running on Windows? (play 1080i/p?)

I have the 6600 2.4Ghz and XBMC for Windows isn't playing 1080p as it should yet. Been trying to gather information on whether this is known or working as intended for this alpha stage, but noone seems to be able to answer that question.

Note that I'm refering to x/h.264 material only (I tend to stay away from HD material encoded in other manners).
