On amazon firetv stick, after downloading downloader and trying to get kodi by this link
http://kodi.tv/download and clicking on android, i have tried many times to get it to actually download Kodi. Every time i try it says "connection error" and doesnt load. Please help, i've done this process at least 15 times.
EDIT:::: instead of the 32bit i used the 64bit but now it says install and i click install and it says app not installed
For the firestick you want the 32 bit one. The URL is

Make sure you have
settings > device > developer options > apps from unknown sources set to on on the stick when you try the install. I just tested it on my firestick and it works fine.
There are two other options you can try:
If you have another android device, look at
agk fire from the play store. You can use that to push apps locally installed on the second device or apk files stored on it onto the firestick.
Otherwise sideload the
appstarter app onto the firestick. Aside from its (now rather restricted) usage as an alternative launcher, it has a built in side loader/updater function for both kodi and SPMC.
In all cases you'll need to turn on the unknown sources seeing when you're installing anything outside the Amazon store.
