Hi all,
i have a Sony Android TV with Kodi installed (android 6.0.1 api level 23 Kernel 3.10.79 & Kodi 17.6 Git20171114-a9a7a20). Kodi pulls the movies from my Synology diskstation perfectly fine but for one thing. When i download the subtitles from Kodi, i can see them until I switch movies or turn Kodi off, then they disappear and i have to redownload them again.

Does anyone have an idea on how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance,
B.
Is your NAS source set up as read-only?
Are the subtitles actually stored next to your videos?
The NAS is being accessed as NFS and the NFS settings on the NAS are to map the admin privileges..so should be able to read/write. Image

I cannot see the sub files in each movie folder which is strange. However a manually downloaded sub is seen by KODI. This makes me think that Kodi saves the files in a temp slot but how can I locate this?In Kodi, I have Player Setting/Language/Download Service/Subtitle storage location set to "Next to video" but there isn't anything in the video folder?? I am dumbfounded
Double-check your kodi.log file. Enable debugging and such.
