Hi I'm running Kodi 17.6 in Nvidia Shield. When I click on " File Manager " it freezes for about 5 minutes, then it will appear. I add source, try to go back to "install from zip" and it freezes again for a few minutes, after that everything works fine. Whats up?
You may have inaccessible network entries, making Kodi time-out on them.
What kind of zip are you trying to install?
Regardless which one it freezes when I try to open file manager

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.
Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.
Restart Kodi
3.
Replicate the problem.
If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.
In both instances, you should see the word
DEBUG throughout the log.

My money is on inaccessable network sconnections as well ;-)
