Every once in a while I finish watching a TV episode and cannot delete it with Kodi. Today I investigated the reason and found out those files that can't be deleted with Kodi have the read-only attribute. I can delete them at the Windows 10 server or change their attributes but my questions are: why do only some downloaded TV episodes have the "read-only" attribute and why won't Kodi delete them ?

Intel i5 NUC running Libreelec 8.2.3 (Kodi 17.6)
Windows 10 Server
Wired gigabit network

Amazon Prime TV Episodes downloaded to my Windows 10 Server
Kodi does not download files, so it is nothing to do with Kodi. Whatever is pirating downloading your files is responsible.
read-only attributes are there for a reason.
I can delete read-only files with my Windows 10 server but not Kodi. Why ?
simply because an application must not delete files marked as read-only. Do we go out on a limp saying that the user should know what he is doing?
Thanks
