Hi Guys,
I am running Kodi 17.6 on a Raspberry Pi 2 with OSMC. I am using the add-on CrunchyRoll v 2.2.2 and subscribe as a premium member. When I was running 17.4 I experienced no issues, however, ever since upgrading to 17.6 my crunchyroll episodes have refused to play.
After digging through the logs I found the following information:
19:42:27.540 T:1717334784 ERROR: OpenDemuxStream - Error creating demuxer
19:42:27.540 T:1717334784 NOTICE: CVideoPlayer::OnExit()
19:42:27.543 T:1925659136 ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [plugin://plugin.video.crunchyroll-takeout/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.crunchyroll.com%2Fblack-clover%2Fepisode-17-destroyer-758897&mode=videoplay&name=Black+Clover+Episode+17+-+Destroyer&id=758897&count=0&series_id=274357&filterx=None&offset=0&icon=http%3A%2F%2Fimg1.ak.crunchyroll.com%2Fi%2Fspire1-tmb%2F21bac33db3eca884e376e675c3a218231517290241_fwide.jpg&complete=True&fanart=http%3A%2F%2Fimg1.ak.crunchyroll.com%2Fi%2Fspire1%2Ff8f5dbfbe105f4f1b7ddddbb2ed54dfb1507058029_fwide.jpg&season=1&media_type=None&year=2018-01-30&playhead=0&duration=1434&episode=17&plot=In+order+to+go+to+the+treasure+chamber+together+with+his+friends%2C+Yuno+confronts+Mars+alongside+Klaus%2C+so+that+the+injured+Mimosa+can+heal+herself.+But+they+have+a+hard+time+harming+Mars+at+all.%2520]
19:42:27.547 T:1925659136 NOTICE: CVideoPlayer::CloseFile()
The log is not sanitized so feel free to judge my anime of choice here (Black Clover, pretty good if you like episodic fantasy adventure).
Now, back to the log - it was really strange as the episode is in MP4 format. Additionally, I can navigate to the link above directly and stream the episode. This is not a permissions issue or formatting issue, which are the problems users have run into in the past. I can only think that the update to 17.6 may have an issue with streaming mp4 files. No other add-on behaves in this way and local files play fine in multiple formats, Mp4, MKV, AVI, etc.
Full logs are below - would really appreciate a pointer in the right direction.
