Hello all,

Created a new topic as I couldn't edit the previous one - apologies if it is wrong.

I have Kodi installed on a Wetek Hub, all my files are shared on a NAS (all my sources are IP as opposed to network names) - Kodi database is shared on a MySql central database shared on the same NAS.

Yesterday, I reinstalled Kodi as it was crashing at the end of every video played. All is working well, but as the title says it now hangs on "preparing" prior to scanning the folders for new files (it was very quick before) I when through the log below and also searched the wiki in vain.

Any comments or suggestion would be greatly appreciated

Quick Update,

I uploaded another log file from last night, still cannot see why it hangs on so much on "preparing".

But I also have another issue now, Kodi crash after reading a video file - it did it yesterday after three different videos.

Thanks,
A Quick up as I am desperate to get it sorted.

Thanks
Still looking into it as it is rather annoying.

I have Kodi installed on my phone (an LG G6) and the scanning of the database is taking the same time. I haven't tested if it crashes as well after a video, could that be due to the network?

The Router is downstairs on the main telephone socket sending the network into the living room through a home plug (Solwise 1200AV2 Piggy).

How could I find out if the issues are network related?
Still me trying to get those two issues.

Just got a Kodi on Archlinux back up and running. And neither of those issues are happening!?

I cleared the cache and all data on my Android phone, copied the same files from my Linux computer advancedsettings.xml password.xml sources.xml and media.xml to make and nothing has changed?!

I am lost....
Just added a full debug log of the database being really slow at scanning the library and Kodi crashing after playing a video.

Removed the Met Office addon and the crash after each playback as stop.

With the slow library update/scan and the crashes caused by Met Office addon wouldn't that indicate an issue with python on Android??
