I have a problem with the itv add on in kodi 17.6. It no longer works either on live streams or catchup. However if I use ftmc or cemc it works without issues. Does anyone know if there is a deliberate attempt in 17.6 to block streams from this add on.
You won't get far using forks like those as a reference, as at least one of them is on our banned list:

However, I appreciate that your question isn't specifically with a Kodi fork, so I'll just advise caution.
The answer to your question is "no" - there's nothing in Kodi that deliberately stops any particular addon. It's more likely to be hardware acceleration or driver support, at a guess - a log file would tell us more, though.
PS I believe that the ITV Player addon is legitimate, although just be careful of the repo you got it from, as that might not be.
Live TV not working for me at the moment but catch up works fine.

I just can not work out the problem with ITV as a few weeks ago it was working fine now there is no stream available when using kodi 17.6 I have a nvidia shield TV using android 7 and wondered if f it might be this version of android
Maybe try the TVCatchUp addon from the
BludhavenGrayson repo and see if you can get live ITV via that.
It works for me, although I don't personally know of any ITV add-on which has working catch-up as they very rarely show anything I want to watch.
