Hi all Smile

I bought two Fire Sticks on Black Friday so that I could run Kodi, and move my Windows 10 media server to another room. Both sticks ran the Amazon content with no problem, and the Kodi set up went smoothly. I followed the guide in the wiki to set up MySQL and share everything, and that worked too. I used the guide here:

HOW-TO:Share_libraries_using_MySQL (wiki)

For a little while, everything worked as it should, including syncing playlists and favourites. It stopped working properly after a while, and I noticed that both Fire Sticks were showing the same IP address as the OP in this thread:

246885 (thread)

I have no idea if that's what they were showing while it worked, as I had no reason to check. Windows and the Fire Sticks are both set to update automatically, so I don't know if they updated in the meantime.

Now, neither stick will update the Kodi media properly. They'll show new movies and TV episodes, but won't show the thumbnails. One of my three playlists is missing from both, and none of my favourites show up. Both sticks get stuck on preparing when I open Kodi, and stay there indefinitely. Trying to play anything is very hit and miss, with some files playing and others hanging. I thought that it was a network issue, so installed Kodi on my phone, an Honor 9 running Nougat. I copied the same advancedsettings.xml to my phone, and it's working perfectly. I've just double checked, and the phone is showing the correct IP address in Kodi.

All three devices are connected to the same wifi network, and all getting the content and settings from the same media PC. One of the Fire Sticks is in the same room as my phone, which is also the same room as the router. I've got another PC on the same network if that helps with troubleshooting e.g. sharing files and adding them to the library.

I'm obviously missing something, so if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful.
To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Always use a paste site like pastebin.com. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum
Sorry, I knew I forgot something.

We had a power cut yesterday, and since then everything's worked properly. I imagine it was the Windows system that had the problem, as it affected both Fire Sticks, but I won't waste anyone's time trying to track down a resolved issue.
Thread marked solved.
