Hi there,

i have an Pi 4 with 4 GB and LE 9.1.501 (Beta1).

I installed the latest Netflix Addon with inputstream adaptive (both latest versions 0.15.2 and 2.3.22)

If i go to settings with 720p software decode every video file works fine.
If i change to 1080p (PI 4 has enough power) i get regularly frame drops and black screens for few seconds.

My Whitelist has 1080p 60, 50 and 23.98 Hz entrys.

Anyone else with same problems?

Log with 1080p inputstream.adaptive (doesnt work)

Log with 720p inputstream.adaptive (work)

So you can see no black screens with 720p (beginning) i switch to 1080p (Minute 01:55) and geht black screens regularly.

No idea why ....
I need help...

I have just installed the Netflix add-on with all dependencies as instructed. Everything works fine except I can not play 4K (thou in YouTube add-on I can).

Does anybody have any idea why ?

Thanks !   Smile

Regarding the few information you're giving, it's hard to help. You may read this: https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.vid...-4k-videos

To determine what the problem is, I'd try 2 things: lower the bandwidth if you can (set InputStream Adaptative stream selection to manual and try some other bandwidth, once you have one working fine set a value for "max bandwidth).

Also I'd try to disable the automatic refresah rate adjustment if it's enabled.

Plus, you said "My Whitelist has 1080p 60, 50 and 23.98 Hz entrys". And I can see your TV using 24Hz...

Not sure it helps a lot, but worth a try.

@Smeulf

Thanks for your advise... after reading the link you posted, it seems 4K does not work for Windows, just Android. Shame Sad
Anyway, thank you for your help!

Yes, it started happening since one or two versions ago of widivine. The only workaround so far is to limit to 720p.

You have exactly the same ?

On Amlogic boxes using previous version of Widevine (libwidevinecdm.so.4.10.1303.0) instead of new version (libwidevinecdm.so.4.10.1440.18) fixes this problem.
Interestingly on Amlogic boxes running CoreElec with Kodi_18.4 both widevine versions work.
If you cannot extract this older version from your backup, I can send you the link to both versions to try if you can get any improvement.
Just installed on my Nvidia Shield, I'm on 8.1 hotfix of Shield Experience. Got it working with Atmos output (yay!) but like others it seems I'm limited to 540p (boo!).
Hope one of you smart people can get it working.
Sorry for posting again but I can't find a solution anywhere. I have a TX2 TV box set up with Kodi. I have the latest .0.15.2 version of Netflix add-on. Everytime I try to open it it asks for my mail and password I put them correctly but then it said log in failed please check your credentials. I don't know what else I can do. I tried uninstalling and then installing back Kodi but still no luck.. thanks in advance.

This is a known issue in 0.15.2 that will be fixed in the upcoming 0.15.3.

In the meantime, you can download the latest master that already includes the fix : https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.vid...master.zip

Mine is on a Windows 10 Haswell I3 NUC with an SSD. Makes me think I should have gone with a less expensive option Big Grin

Ok now it works. The only problem is that in a lot of shows and movies there are no subtitles in Netflix. This never happened before. And there is no way I can stream with high definition. But at least it works. Thank you.
