(2019-01-16, 22:58)Desperados Wrote: [ -> ]Hi! I just upgraded to Kodi 18 and installed this addon. I looked in this thread and on github but I can't find the solution. My problem is I can't login, it says to 'check my credentials.' I'm on version 0.13.21 which should be stable according to the posts above me, but in my case it's not working. I checked the log, no errors, thought maybe I was missing a dependency or something, but I guess not.. I'm running Leia RC5 on Nvidia Shield in case that matters..
Hope someone here has the answer!
Did you installed any other versions from Netflix plugin before installing 0.13.21? You should post a debug log even if you think no thing in it, other members may can find something you missed.

Here are the steps.

Gave this official Netflix add on a try under CoreElec nightly build of Kodi 18/RC5.

Install went smoothly and was up and running without issue.  All seemed well but the video is choppy/lags.  It's as if the framerate is to low to play smoothly.  I read through the thread and tried a few suggestions given to users who've experienced the same thing....no change.  No I did not try the 14.0 beta, that cured it for anyone?  I pretty much exhausted about every other thing I could think of to change as well that might have an impact on video playback.  No other video streams on the system play like this.  I had high hopes to be able to have everything under one interface...guess the wife is going to have to just get use to that input select button on the remote for now..lol.
S912 netflix addon really poor playback

guess this is a known problem with the S912
Anyone run into an issue where TV shows added to the library wont play yet playing them directly from within the add-on they are fine?

Movies work OK when added to the library.

version 14 Beta 18 btw.
2 questions.  Running windows 10.  Everything plays normal.  Cant seem to get 4k to working and audio always starts in german.  I change and save this but next file I try the audio is german again..Anyway to set default language?
Set player default audio to english and that's working.  Just the 4k issue.  Example movie bright only shows 540p or something.. Not even 1080 or 4k.

No other versions, just the latest.. I'll try installing it on my pc tomorrow, see if it works there.. My system has some banned addons on it, so a debug log is not an option.. If the same thing happens on my pc I'll create a log from there. Thank you.

That's really nice of you! I tried and unfortunately it's the same. I also SSH'd in to look at the plugins folder and the netflix plugin is fully removed (folder and all) when  I uninstall it via the suggested method. Here's my log: http://ix.io/1yuP

I'm thinking that perhaps this problem started when I installed 14.2 "over" 13.21 and not uninstalled it first...
 Try this fix.

In case of any error from installing 0.13.21 over 0.14.2 , try to delete the file "settings.xml" in

C:\Users\Essam\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data\plugin.video.netflix

After more testing installing 0.14.2 over 0.13.21 was OK for me, installing 0.13.21 over 0.14.2 was the reason for getting error message, solved by deleting "settings.xml" in the folder above.
I can't issue those commands recommended in the two threads. I get this error msg: "-sh: pip: not found".

But now, all of a sudden, the uninstallation works and I can get 13.21 to work again. But trying to use 14.0 or 14.2 still gets me the same error, must be something wrong with the plugin in combination with librelec or perhaps a certain combination of username/passwords!?

My reason for wanting to try the .14 release was to see if there were any improvement in video lag from 13.21. Even with the overclock settings recommended earlier I still can't get anything near smooth playback with 720p material on a RPI3.

Sounds like you and I have the same problem!?

Update: I tried uninstalling 13.21 from my htpc running windows and latest RC5 and then installed 14.21 - the same problem!

I fixed the audio selection problem, try to download my addon version:

(note is version 14.0)

I'm waiting for a peak3d response, to fix also the subtitles..

So I just tried to login on the Netflix site on my pc. And got the error invalid password?! So I messaged my friend whose account I share and asked if he had the same problem. Turns out it was a security measure by Netflix because he logged in on a unknown network or something, so he reset his password and all is working now..
Didn't even think about that being the problem lol
I just stumbled upon another issue.. I just tried to watch an episode of Friends and it had horrible quality, only 480p. My Nvidia Shield has full Netflix support so I thought the quality would be the same if I were to watch it through Kodi.. The only reason I wanted to add Netflix to Kodi was because I thought it would get marked as watched in my Trakt account, can anyone maybe confirm at least that this addon works with Trakt? If not then maybe I'll just stick with the Netflix app on the Shield since the streaming quality is better. Or is there a setting I might have missed regarding the quality? I already put in the Netflix ESN number..

Try to enable HEVC.

and try the method here to force Netflix plugin to play the videos in 1080p, Friends should be at least 1080p.

Try to change the password and the email to just be in English letters and numbers.
