The only other problem im now having is that some shows/episodes its not picking up the audio

One example is "street food", episode 2.

if someone could test that episode and see if its a netflix/add on issue, or if its an issue at my end before i start troubleshooting..
I'm getting the same audio problems, including street food episode 2. Polish and English audio tracks don't work but the other four do, all are 2 channel AAC.

All Netflix videos - including the ones that work - are 2 channel regardless of what setting I choose in Kodi (Dolby Digital Plus is enabled). I've the Amazon VOD addon as well and that works with 6 channels.

I'm using version 0.14.3 of the addon on a Fire TV stick 4K.
@konel
please enable kodi debug play the problematic episode and post the log
Log file is below, I'm finding this issue with the majority of Netflix videos.

Please i need the exact model name of the device,
for now there could be two explanations, device firmware bug or netflix corrupted audio streams

In the "Test" folder, you can find three files,
I need you to do a test for each of them (install one at a time)
please always try the same video
if one of these works, reports which one

Test files
(to moderator the link is always the same already published/git)

If there are other people with the same problem (audio does not play):
they can help me to find a workaround/fix to this problem in this way:
  • Post the kodi log with debug infos enabled
  • Specify the languages broken
  • Specify the device model and operative system
  • The name of the movie/tvshow-episode is not mandatory

Thanks for this, my device is an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K.

Test 1 & 2 were the same but test 3 worked!

I had stumbled upon a workaround; if I changed the inputstream "Stream Selection" setting from automatic to manual the number of streams available doubled (each stream was duplicated). I found that one of the streams always worked. Below is a logfile with stream selection set to manual and the same video played as before (I toggle between a broken and working audio stream, which are labeled the same).

Below is a logfile of "test 3" and stream selection set to automatic, which plays the audio succesfully.

Thank you for the fix, I've a Fire TV stick (not 4K) I can send to you if it's of use.

Don't know if it's relevant, but I have no problems with audio (English DD+) on Street Food E2, running 1080p also with English subtitles...
My Kodi is Leia 18.2 on last CoreElec nightly installed on Odroid N2. Netflix addon v.0.14.3 with software decoded via inputstream.adaptive v.2.3.19.1
I did a system factory data reset to my Shield as it was acting up. The Netflix add-on was working fine before though. Not sure which I had had inatlled before. When I went through the install again I used the repository.netflix.1.0.1.zip but it would not install properly, then I used the plugin.video.netflix-master.zip and that worked BUT ater I have logged in, my Profile and ID name is not displayed, it was before. It still seems to work, however I've had a few sound glitches and shutdowns of the Shield aswell.
Hello,

After upgrade to repository.castagnait-1.0.0 and upgrade to the latest version I have problem with exporting to the library. There is an error message about typeerror, logs:

https://paste.kodi.tv/xigikubulu.kodi

This happens on my laptop and CoreElec based AmLogic player.

Thank you, the daily build works fine. Should I disable the automatic update of the addon now? Or it will be fixed in the repository as well (or already is)?

The latest daily bulid of 12/06 (I'm in UK) has fixed this problem now. Is this addon app supposed to be able to 'make' the nornal Netflx app know if a program or film has been watched? Will the addon update the rating to match the normal Netflix app on future updates?

It doesn't update the watched status, but they're working on it.
fwiw, 14.4 on my firestick was just throwing error prompt every 30 minutes or so while i was listening to music earlier (i didnt read them just dismissed them because i was listening to music), and when i tried to go into my list just non-stop timeouts. cache clear, reboot, still timing out on everything.

reverting to the 12/6 daily has fixed it, so summat up with 14.4 for me

(But.. even with auto update turned off the darned thing keeps on updating back to 14.4)
Anyone having trouble migrating the Kodi library? I'm new to the latest build and used version 0.13.22 from asciidisco's repo before. it also wont work on a newly installed Kodi 18.2 portable with just the Netflix addon installed.

Yes I find that some of the shows transfer fine and some don't. I also get a random show called the Alex Show or something once in awhile. I think it's a Kodi problem more than a netflix addon problem.
