Full Version: Video playback stopped working

Hi,

Couple of days ago my setup stopped displaying any video. I hadn't changed anything and it had been working flawlessly for months so unsure what's gone wrong ...

Setup is:
Sony A1 TV
Nvidia Shield
WD Mybook 8tb

I tried playing a video from the external drive and initially it started playing but with no sound. Tried a few others and the issue got worse showing a totally black screen on start of the video, then if I move fast forward through the video it will display a still image of the video but nothing else. Tried to then stream a video over WiFi from my library stored on PC and it just hangs at the screen showing thumbnails of your library. I get a spinner but it never loads the video, have to close the app down from settings.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled from the playstore but get the same issues.

Also tested the external drive with my PC and everything's fine, video plays through VLC with no issues.

Any ideas what's going on?

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
