Hi.

No. Settings means
IPTV Recorder \ Settings
You get to the Settings from the context menu of the IPTV Recorder addon in the Kodi \ Video Addons section.
You get to the context menu with the C key or Right Mouse button.

It seems I don't have IPTV Recorder addon in Video Add-ons sections. I can only see "primavela's beta dev repository" under "Add-ons / Add-on repository" and "PVR IPTV Simple Client" under "Add-ons / PVR Clients". Video Add-ons section is empty. Sorry to ask from where do I get IPTV Recorder addon?

What was not found?
What exactly were you trying to do?

Have you set up IPTV Simple Client correctly so that it shows programs and plays channels?
Have you restarted Kodi?
Is
IPTV Recorder \ Channel Groups \ All Channels
full of the same channels and programs as
Kodi \ TV \ Guide
?
Can you play the channels in IPTV Recorder?
Can you record in IPTV Recorder?

It looks like this is an osx problem with getting the correct locale.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1629...ems-on-osx

You'll have to do a bit of remote debugging for me.

Add a
log(language)
at line 44 in
"addons\plugin.video.iptv.recorder\contextEPG.py"
so it looks like this

python:
fullFormat = get_format()
language = xbmc.getLanguage()
log(language)
locale.setlocale(locale.LC_TIME, language)

Tell me what that is and what it should be.

Then try something like setting the language to whatever yours should be like
python:
fullFormat = get_format()
language = xbmc.getLanguage()
language = "en_US.UTF-8"
locale.setlocale(locale.LC_TIME, language)

If that works I'm not sure what a good generic solution is.

If that works I'm not sure what a good generic solution is.

I have added the log. Not sure if I look at the correct loge entry but I assume that I need to use 'utf-8' as languange. I will give a try

It looks like this is an osx problem with getting the correct locale.
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1629...ems-on-osx

You'll have to do a bit of remote debugging for me.

Add a
log(language)
at line 44 in
"addons\plugin.video.iptv.recorder\contextEPG.py"
so it looks like this

python:
fullFormat = get_format()
language = xbmc.getLanguage()
log(language)
locale.setlocale(locale.LC_TIME, language)

Tell me what that is and what it should be.

Then try something like setting the language to whatever yours should be like
python:
fullFormat = get_format()
language = xbmc.getLanguage()
language = "en_US.UTF-8"
locale.setlocale(locale.LC_TIME, language)

If that works I'm not sure what a good generic solution is.

That message is from the function that reads in the m3u playlist.

To make the new message stand out a bit change it to something like:
python:
log(("LANGUAGE>>>", language))

It doesn't like English as the locale for some osx reason.

Look in the file
"system\Python\Lib\locale.py"
in the locale_alias table for the closest locale to yours.
Try using that as the language argument for locale.setlocale
