Hi Guys,

This is my first post. Hope this is in the correct section. Link to Minix forum post: http://www.minixforum.com/threads/bug-fw...dbar.18863

I'm having a strange issue occur with my media player all connected via HDMI.

Media player: Minix U9-H(Latest firmware: FW008)
Soundbar: Samsung HW-K950(Latest firmware: 3117.3)
TV: LG UF850T(65")

I have it connected as such:

Minix --- HDMI --- Soundbar --- HDMI(ARC) --- TV

So to start off, If I boot the media player with LibreElec my TrueHD/DTSHD option all work fine via Kodi, but If I boot into the Minix software, the TrueHD/DTSHD option dissapear.

I've gone through the route of detecting what could possibly causing this. When I stumbled upon EDID/ELD information. Here is my extracted info from the report on the Minix firmware:

https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/96sFyBrkM6/

Kodi.log:

https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/4cwC7r8SKV/

Here I'm trying to force Kodi to use the direct audio driver for passthrough use, but its failing.

Android has some masked audio adapter.

Minix: android, AudioTrack
LibreElec: AMLM8AUDIO

This tells me that the EDID/ELD is reporting the correct AVR info, but Minix firmware(or audio driver isn't parsing it correctly).

My question begs, how can I setup a custom EDID/ELD in the Android OS? Or is there a simpler fix to my problem?

Thanks in advance

Well, yes and no. Even in a first post, there is a big fat red text near the Post button: 'When posting text snippets or log files, use a text upload website like https: //paste.ubuntu.com/'
We like to unburden our forum server, uploading texts/logs to dedicated websites happens for a reason. Perhaps we should use rainbow colors next time? Smile
