I am using Kodi 17.6 on an Android TV box. I have connected the TV box to my AV receiver via HDMI. Whenever I play videos with 5.1 AAC sound, I get only stereo output. I have read that if I enable Dolby Digital transcoding, I will get surround sound. But I can't find this option anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Set Number of speakers to 2.0 (no kidding)
Enable AC3, Enable AC3 Transcoding. Keep the rest disabled.
Finally got this to work. I was not getting any option to 'Enable AC3 Transcoding'. Uninstalled Kodi and reinstalled and the option appeared!
Should the 'Stereo Upmix' be on or off?
