Kodi Community Forum

Just need a little help from my friends.

First time poster here so if I step out of line please steer me straight.

Looking for a good source of basic knowledge of how kODI handles dialogs, simple things like adding buttons, labels etc. I'm just looking to see how KODI likes to be coded for this.

I've been looking through this forum and the web but may not being using the 'right' terminology for the search.

Hey sorry for the late reply,
I`m looking at actually not dialogs but coding a window for an addon, I`ve worked around it for now but know I am missing something very simple in coding a very basic window, every time I launch it all I get is a black screen. I guess what I am looking for a is a very basic code example of what you need to open a window with buttons and text on it. 
Any help would be appreaciated.
(I`ve spent the last week or so learning the in`s and out of Python, seems very similar to PHP in a lot of ways.)
