Hi guys,

Can't figure out why Kodi crashes at launch. I've tried numerous times to uninstall and reinstall, no avail. Can anyone help?

Here is my Debug log:

 Done
That log doesn't have debug logging enabled.

Also please use a pastebin site for logs, not dropbox or other sites where stuff needs to be downloaded. Details in the next post.
To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Always use a paste site like pastebin.com. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Unfortunately, I cannot turn on debug. The instance I launch Kodi.exe, it crashes.
It can be done via an advancedsettings.xml file from outside Kodi.

Follow the link below to the wiki and see the advanced section for details of how to do it.

Looks like your Graphics Card is the problem.

You are using ATI Radeon HD 4550 released 2008. You also have two monitors plugged in which is not helping your cause.

Kodi v17 and up requires support the DirectX 11 Feature Level 9.1 ... https://kodi.wiki/view/Supported_hardware

Your Graphics card has support for DirectX 10.1 ... https://www.cnet.com/products/ati-radeon...ies/specs/

Try v16.1 and see if that works... http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/windows/win32/old/
Thank you for clearing that up.
