does the OS X port have the 4 GB file limit?

4 gig file limit was a limitation of the xbox filesystem and had nothing to do with xbmc so unless osx uses an dumb file system no it dosn't
No it doesn't, I have a 25GB vmdk file here, OSX is quite happy with that!
i didnt think so. After this matures a bit i might see if i can pick up an old mac mini and do this. I already have it on my xbox.
