So I ripped a CD to a Flac file. The Flac file is embedded with a MusicBrainz ID. Then I did an Artist and Album query in Kodi. When I check the Kodi music database file only the “strMusicBrainzArtistID” tag has a value. Both the “strMusicBrainzAlbumID” tag and the “strMusicBrainzTrackID” tag are “NULL.” I was expecting all three tags to be populated. Is that correct? Any ideas? Thanks, PK

PK44 do not ressurect a 3 year old "solved" thread to ask a question, start your own.

Your music files need to be tagged with the full set of Musicbrainz IDs - for artis(s), release and track - not just one ID. Did you use Picard?
Sure thing. Thanks for starting a new thread Dave.
I used dBpoweramp to rip the CD. Apparently it supports only one MBID.
Yes, I will use Picard and report back.
Thanks for the quick reply!

OK, I used Picard for tagging...I get it now...
Another question though: I've seen references to a tag called "MUSICBRAINZ_ALBUMARTIST" a couple of times (IIRC in the Kodi wiki). I don't see that tag when I use Picard. What I do see is a tag called "MUSICBRAINZ_ALBUMARTISTID." Are they the same tag? I'm confused...
Thanks,
