i have been getting this error on the new oreo update on the nvidia shield tv but not on my older shield tv on 6.3. Is there anything i can do to try and fix? I have tried reinstalling nextpvr on my pc and still get the same error only on the oreo updated shield.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.
Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.
Restart Kodi
3.
Replicate the problem.
If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file.
In both instances, you should see the word
DEBUG throughout the log.
Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs

Same issue is being discussed
here. The work around I have found to get live TV working again is to disable time shift in NextPVR addon settings. Hope for a more permanent solution to come via Kodi update in the future
Try Kodi 18 build - there has been changes to timeshift etc in the NextPVR addon.
I tried again with the latest nightly 7/19. I do not seem to get "disconnected from the tuner", but the streams eventually hang. Attached is a debug log. Hope this helps
