Full Version: TMDB fills "empty" plots with the string "no overview found". Any way to combat this?

Really unsure if there's a perfect setting for scrapers. TMDB recognizes 2 part movies very well (contrary to IMDB). Problem is, that some plots contain nothing but the string "no overview found.". Not scraping the plot from TMDB ain't a solution either, as IMDB - as I said - fails to recognizes some movies (properly). So what can I do?

Either IMDB first and end up with some movies as tv shows and wrong plots or use TMDB and end up with wrong plots.

It's not a big issue as I just manually edited the few cases I had but if you take a look at https://www.google.com/search?q=%22no+ov...oviedb.org you can see how bad of an idea it is to scrape the plot from TMDB (isn't it first priority @ default settings?).
Do you use the latest daily version of ember? TMDB should not get back "no overview" over API.

2 part movie handling has nothing to do with the scrapers...
It says 1.4.90 x64 in the top right corner. filename of the installer: Ember Media Manager BETA 1.4.90-alpha.git.fa3ddc9.exe

Happened with this movie: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/9497-kl...h-der-film

The german version (https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/9497-kl...anguage=de) does have a description though.

If I'm not mistaken, I "fixed" this by readding the source folder and setting german as default language, however, that solution would probably still fail with other foreign lang movies. Am a fan of as much automation as possible, esp. when dealing with thousands of files.
I've checked that and yes, there are many, mostly german movies that have "No overview found." as overview. But that's something that a user has manually set and not a default value (or no longer a default value). I reportet the problem to the forum: https://www.themoviedb.org/talk/5b349135...uage=en-US
