Hello.

I am currently learning French and would love to watch some live French TV.

In terms of channels, anything would be appreciated, though just news channels might be a bit limited.

Also, channels that might allow me to access subtitles would be even better.

Any suggested add-ons and channels would be very much appreciated.

France TV is in the official kodi repository under video addons. 

I checked it out, 5 live channels and works well.

It requires a VPN Tunnel if outside France.

and if you VPN tunnel into Switzerland, you can play Teleboy (plugin available for kodi, for Leia Nightlies there is also a LiveTV option). It has a wide selection of French language channels.
