Just a step further from what's already implemented: given the nature of Movie/TV Show metadata, if one were to be interested on the "Show info" function as the default, one would likely be interested on seeing more info for a movie, but not at all for every single episode of any given show.
There really is a need for separating these: here are some previous requests for this feature: [1], [2], [3]. I also tried to tackle it myself via skinning, but the most promising current solution severely limits the ability to handle content.
