Hi guys,

I'm new here and just wondered why this is. Playback is totally fine on latest Jarvis but on Krypton and the 18 Alpha it stutters sometimes.

It is probably no wonder when the difference in GPU load is considered.

Any takers?

20% load on .. what device? A Raspberry Pi, a Wetek HUB, a full-blown Core i7 Intel PC, your Nespresso coffee machine, something else? Smile
You had me at the Nespresso Big Grin

System: AMD Phenom II X3 705 / GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Just think it is sad the Kodi broke what was working in v16.1.

Ran tests in VLC, Potplayer, MPC-BE, all fine and dandy with VLC being the best with 13% GPU load.

The odd one out is Kodi v17.0 and onwards

...and Windows 10.

Try providing a debug log (wiki) via a pastebin website, lots of things can produce video stutters. Different video types for starters.
After enabling the debugging, restart Kodi for a clean log file, reproduce the stuttering, and hand over your log file.
