Full Version: LAN playback stops after 30 - 40 minutes

Hey everyone,
I am having difficulties with Kodi running on the Android OS on an Android Box. While playing full length films after 20 - 40 minutes, playback just stops. No buffering issues pop up, just returns back to the movie library screen with the last film selected, which I can resume. When watching TV episodes, they will often stop half way through, again, with no buffering issues prior, returning me to the last menu.
This happens to videos from 240p to 1080p resolution. Some TV files are tiny, less than 80mb for a 22 minute long episodes. Movie films range from 700mb - 5gb for 90 - 240 minutes, and all will stop playing randomly.
I only watch media which is stored on my LAN, accessed via Wi-Fi 5.0ghz. In an effort to fix this issue I have tried switching to the secondary 2.4ghz Wi-Fi, but the problem persists.
I was previously using the latest stable release of Kodi, but am now using the latest night release, but this still has not fixed the issue.
I have installed unofficial Kodi branches available through the Google Play Store, but all have this reoccurring issue.
The only way I have been able to get videos to play all the way through without stopping is by having them playback from a HDD connected via USB to the Android Box directly.
Please find the log link at the bottom of this post.
Thank you very much for reading this far. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, everyone! Blush

Forgot to mention, my Android Box is currently running 7.1.2 version of Android OS.
Can anyone interpret the debug log, please? Smile

Can you switch to NFS?
Hi did you ever solve this? I'm having the same issue with both smb and nfs shares but only on my android box. My Windows machines and android phone all work fine!

I had this problem 2 years with disconnecting kodi to main menu. You need to turn off option „ send files by local network”
I need pass it to nvidia because then we dont have access to hdd connected on usb. I have connected disk directly to router.
