Hello,

I experience trouble playing a 4k (UHD) video on Kodi. The video stutter and when i check CPU usage it's almost 100%. The stutter only occurs when CPU reach 90 - 100%
However, if I open the same file on VLC (3.0), i have nearly no CPU usage and the video play correctly.

I've tried the following settings in KODI (fresh install) :

Allow hardware acceleration DXVA2 : OFF
Buffer : 2

Here is the log : http://paste.kodi.tv/butojudiwo

Let me know if you need more informations. I'm quite new to this, thank you in advance for your support.

Best Regards,

System spec :

RAM : 4 gb
GFX : GTX 950
You need to enable hardware acceleration in Kodi to use the decoder in the GTX 950. The CPU is too slow for software decoding.
I've tried to enable hardware acceleration without success. Same stutter.

More info, I use Win 7, 64-bits.

Strange that VLC can handle that without any problem.
Your log doesn’t appear to open for me.

If the video is H.265 then hardware acceleration won’t work on Win 7 as the DXVA version we use requires Win 8 and above to hardware accelerate the H.265 codec.

Yep, Windows 7.
I've updated to Windows 10 and the issue is solved.
Thank you all
