Hello,

following this wiki Bookmarks and chapters page, I can create episode bookmarks for my multiepisode files. But the file already brings chapters with it, one chapter for each episode contained in the file. Is it possible that kodi just uses the chapters as episode bookmarks? Then I wouldn't have to set the bookmarks by myself since the information is already in the file.

I don't think there is a way to do that that I can think of.  Maybe if you could export the chapters to a file (not hard on mkv, but probably not so easy in other containers).  But even with the chapter info in hand, you would have to hack the video database bookmarks table to get that into the database.
