Basically when I try to play a video using an external player, it just flashes at the top right the file name but nothing happens. The only player that will work is the kodi player which is glitchy with my remote. I am accessing the files over an FTP server if that makes a difference

Try explaining that first to us. And why not try to fix that, before starting to implement other video players?

If I hit up or down on my remote it skips 10 minutes, so I guess not glitchy but annoying. I turned seeking to only 10sec but that only helps with left and right

Edit: I tried keymapper add on and cannot seem to remove the 10 min seek. Ill have to try again after work

The setting is in advance setting.
