ZF9 here, Germany, newest firmware. KO does not install.
kodi-20190109-f39b4b3e-org.what.kohlrabi-armeabi-v7a.apk
"App wurde nicht installiert."
I'm successfully currently using the amazon build "com.amazon.aiv.eu / 18.0 RC5".
I didnt uninstall this one, tried to install the above KO build additionally.
Funnily after doing a reset of my new tv, I managed to install the Google Play store Kodi 17.6 version after trying like 10 times...
But it didnt start, crashed instantly. After that i uninstalled and then i got the 506 error all the time. Before doing the reset, i only got the 506 error.

So where does everything stand? I see some people saying the kohlrabi build is working and some that aren't? Would like to update my TV but not until this all is sorted.

Here is a final test: https://jenkins.kodi.tv/view/Automation/...hoice/195/ <- this one changes PACKAGE_ID to org.rabi.kohl <- which is german for something I don't like to eat :-) (kohlrabi) - so if that one also does not install, their point is proven.
At the end this would mean: Yes, they blocked us and many more "by accident" :-)
Build results here: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/
@chrisyu if you are faster, you can also test this with your "small" apk
File name is tv-release-org.rabi.kohl.apk, uploaded to https://app.box.com/s/o7j4v3kiuujzlvjzsm83eyqruo54bxuw .
Tested on emulator, works fine.
I will test it on my TV when I'm home.
Anyone is free welcome to test on your TV and report the result as well, thanks.

Hello
Recently bought the Sony AF9 and like many here was unable to insatll Kodo, so after googling around I found this thread and the download link, shown below
I downloaded and installed the latest version that works OK Except the screen resoulution, It just give me 'Whitelist' as a choice and only 1080* max resolution
I'm used to Kodi as have it on another computer which gives me the 4k resolution, so have I missed something or is it normal for this build ?

@fritsch Maybe you could adjust Kodi to display the actual playback resolution and not the GUI resolution. This is really confusing otherwise and I see hundreds more questions that will ask the same thing over and over again.

No. Maybe you could do it yourself?

OK, just tried last sample apk, couldn't install too.
Maybe what Sony guy said is true, let's hope this can be fixed soon.
$ adb install tv-release-org.rabi.kohl.apk
adb: failed to install tv-release-org.rabi.kohl.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE: Failed rename]
I tested some other package names.
koa.abc is fine
abc.koa is not
com.akoa is fine
com.bkod is fine
And it seems ".ko" in package name will cause the problem.

Kodi could also rename itself to XBMC again and everything would be good, just as an idea
