If I start a film from my shield tv the screen gets black and the beamer makes really strange noises. Like it would make something with the lens and stuff. I have a optoma uhd51

Perhaps your beamer doesn't approve of your choice of films...
The only thing I can thing of is that it re-sets itself for a different video frame rate.
Other that, you are the only one that is able to physically pinpoint the strange noise(s).

so this is a normal thing for the projector to do? Not damaging or so? Because that with the frame rate could be.
Wouldn't that be more a question to ask the manufacturer of the beamer?
it only does that in kodi. So I tried here. But yes your probally right
