Full Version: Kodi crashes when Shield goes to sleep while addon is running in background

I've posted similar problems but thought I'd start over with all of the information in one place.  Fell free to move this to the proper place if I posted in the wrong place.  I'm running Leia Beta 3.
The problem happens when zap2epg is running under the following circumstances (it may happen with other addons but I can repeat this with zap2epg):
1) The Shield Goes to sleep.
2) The Shield screensaver comes on.
3) I remove focus from Kodi (or whatever it is called when I hit the Shield home button).
I get booted out of Kodi when any of the the above items occur while zap2epg is running with the "spinning circle" on the screen.
I get the following error in the Kodi log file:
ERROR: eglSwapBuffers failed (EGL error 12288)

Zap2epg won't run if I try to start it using Chron under the above circumstances.  It runs fine otherwise.

When zap2epg starts the Kodi "spinning circle" remains on the screen. However if I hit exit the spinning circle stops and I can continue using Kodi as normal but the background process is still running. If any actions occur at this point that would normally cause Kodi to crash (I.e., let the Shield go to sleep) Kodi doesn't crash and zap2epg continues to run. I was initially hoping to use this as a work-around but I can't figure out to get the process to start while the Shield is asleep.

I've posted the problem on the Shield TV forum and the moderators believe it is a Kodi problem.

Below is a link to the log file:

Thanks for any help

Edit: Added clarification to the problem.
Thanks, I'll give that a try

I lost my TVheadend client when I installed the file above.  I can't find any PVR clients available when I go to the repository.  I noticed the file is smaller than usual (62 MB).  Did I do something wrong or do I need to download the TVheadend client separately with this version?
Thanks

OK, that explains the change.  But I still can't figure out how to get to the binary add-ons repository.
I tried searching for "binary" and nothing comes up.
I searched for "tvheadend" and only get "Script - Tvheadend route latencies".
Help
Thanks
You can find them in the official Kodi add-on repository > PVR clients. However I also did not have the section until I deleted and reinstalled Kodi. Hoped this was not necessary anymore...

Yea, I don't have a PVR clients section listed in my Kodi Add-on repository.  Looks like I'll have to try uninstalling and reinstalling Kodi.
Will I be able to restore from backup (once I reinstall the Backup add-on) or will that screw things up?
I got a warning that I was restoring from a different version when I previously restored from Beta 3 to this version.
Thanks
How about you simply check for updates.

The good news is updating the Add-on Manager got me the PVR clients.
Thanks
The bad news is I still get the eglSwapBuffers error.
ignore that error

OK, any idea how to fix the problem when running zap2epg?
Thanks

Edit: I realized I didn't fully describe the problem and edited my first post.  The problem is I get booted out of Kodi when this happens.
