Hey Kodi Heads,

I just startet to use Kodi as a Medialibrary. I made a short test with some of my Dvds, I have 29 movies on Harddrive but only 25 of them where indexed in Kodi so I installed the "Missing Movies Addon"
but I cant find a Scan button like in this short tut  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1amTX5K2oc  from 1:16  !  Also my UI looks diffrent on Kodi 17.6...

So long story short where is the scan button?

Thanks Dave
So it looks like the Addon "Missing Movies" is discontinued(But why is it still there for download in Kodi?).

To see what movies are not added to Library after a scan you have to go to "Settings>>Event log"  and correct the wrong filenames. After I did that my Movies where added correct to my Library, thus I am really new to Kodi it would be cool if an experienced user can confirm that this is correct, so I can mark this thread as solved.

Thx
@DigitalDave

Yes, Missing Movies is discontinued. The replacement is the Event Log in Settings. Check if after you run an Update Library... https://kodi.wiki/view/Event_Log

If you are having trouble scraping Movies, then read the Create Video Library guide. Link in My Signature below.
seems mad that the missing movies is discontinued for a media library program, why has it not been worked on by the team, i still use it mind and its been a great tool

 I am not sure if its allowed but as the addon has been abandoned I have forked it and fixes some things / merged prs left in the original git.

It can be found here: https://github.com/lorkadiscovery/MissingMovieScanner

Please remove if not allowed.
@lorkadiscovery

Shouldn't be a problem (haven't checked code though, not my area Wink )

If you are sharing, probably better to start your own thread with appropriate title so it is easier found in searches.

Thanks @Karellen

I have created a thread here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=337256

If someone would like to run over the code and see that would be great. Would be really good if I could give something back to Kodi with keeping some used addons alive that developers have moved on from. Would be good for everyone concerned.
Why is this not being worked on when kodi is supposed to be about library use, the event log is naff compared to this, please can someone take this up?
