Full Version: leia on FireTV (bueller): sound stops when HDMI disconnected

I am using an original FireTV mainly for listening to music via the digital output.

Starting with leia (both beta an nightly) the sound stops as soon as I switch off the TV (some seconds later). Web interface claims somewhat inconsistently that the playlist is still running, but I cannot hear anything.

Is there any new option causing this behavior? How can I disable that and listen to music without an HDMI connection?

Thanks and regards
Christian
Could be your TV sending the off signal to the device. Did the same for me on my LG because I had SimpLink enabled.
Thanks for the answer, I would not have thought about this.

But the sound immediately stops if I disconnect the HDMI cable, so I don't think it is related to CEC.

And also the FireTV is still running (white LED is on) I cannot remotely start audio playback via the web interface.

I worked fine on all previous Kodi versions, including 17.
