Hi,
I have a problem: my installation of Kodi is unable to connect to my SMB server.
Everytime I try to add a media source I just get the error "Operation Timed Out". I tried via the local hostname and the IP address.
It's running on an Apple TV 4K. What can I do now?

What SMB version is your server running?

SMBv2+ requires full credentials, including a password.
Also, network browsing is disabled after v1. Use "Add a network location..." for creating SMB sources in Kodi.

I think the server is running SMBv2.
I've already tried to use "Add a network location..." but it didn't work at all

I'm not an Apple user/aficionado, so others will have to step in at this time.
