Using one of these "TV Boxes", as the Chinese like to call them, with provision of an internal HDD (SATA interface), or using an external USB connected HDD, what is the safe way to remove the drive??
Especially when you really can't tell when it is being accessed. This is when you are not accessing it (playing media or similar).
Access it's context menu (for example via the file manager and right click, two finger tap or long press) then select safely remove.
By sheer accident I discovered the 'very hidden' location (nice if the Chinese would stop using silly icons for everything!!!);

Go to the lower right corner of the Zidoo home screen, click on that far right icon (which is the same as Settings).
Then Device/Storage & USB, select the device under 'Portable Storage' and click the up arrow on the right.
Device is 'ejected'.
Thread marked solved.
Elsewhere, it was suggested to right click on the icon in the lower right corner for devices, but there is no action to a right click, just left that brings up the device list. Clicking there didn't seem to do anything either.
Just looking for a quicker way to do what I posted above. Wink
