Hello, I am new to kodi, certain movie files are not being played by kodi, Kodi Krypton nvidea shield. Please help

A few things...
- Kodi 17.6 is by now an old version, as all work and effort goes into Kodia Leia 18. I suggest you upgrade (semi-manually) with the
Kodi Android Installer add-on. Then exit Kodi and use a File Manager on the Nvidia Shield TV (
X-Plore File Manager is recommended) to install the update manually, and then restart Kodi.
- If your video problems remain, enable debugging and provide us a new full
debug log (wiki). Further details are in the link.

Hello, I have installed Kodi 18 on nvidia shield but the problem of certain movie files not playing is still present. Kodi reads the movie file gets the metadata but is unable to play the movie.

You seem to have a permissions issue with your NFS setup...
