I have thousands of movies and TV shows spread over 10 drives. Lately, it has started taking anywhere from 15 to 45 seconds to open my movies and or tv folder. Is this normal. Is there a ceiling that I should try to stay under?

Nobody can tell you - without looking in your Debug Log - most likely an IP has changed in your network causing a timeout.

Having the same issue as OP! i may of reduced the wait time by using NFS instead of SMB.
