Hi,
Since my andriod tv updated to KODI 18, the hide watched filter doesnt seem to work.
It does when it first boots, but then all the shows appear above the unwatched ones.. I also noticed that they don't disapear when i have watched them.

I just did a scan library and the watched ones disappeared, but after i watch a show they all appear again.

any ideas? i've tried different skins but they all have this same problem.

Thanks,
Claire
This is still happening in 18.1 and i noticed today it is also happening in my windows 10 Kodi 18.1
The Watched/Unwatched/All filter is one of the most basic functions. It's pretty strange that it wouldn't work properly.

Provide a full debug log (wiki) for starters, of both the Android and Windows devices.
So when i first open the app it looks fine only showing the unwatched.
Then i watch something, then when it comes back it lists all tv shows. Oddly the watched ones appear above the unwatched ones.
when i update the library, sometimes it goes back to normal, other times the page doesnt even refresh with new shows.

First remove the all the superrepo crap from your Android tv before asking for more support. We really don't appreciate dealing with setup that have video piracy addons installed. Read the forum rules (wiki) again for your awareness.

Remove the pathsubstitution from your advancedsettings.xml file. It's currently broken and it's not gonna be fixed any time soon.
Also your DEBUG: ### [script.myepisodes] script could perhaps be messing up things.
thanks for the advice.
i went to uninstall the superrepo crap, and it wasnt loaded in the repositories, so i think i had already removed it.

if i completely uninstall kodi, it should do a clean install correct? or will i still have all the add-ins
OK, i found where superrepo was hiding and deleted it and a few other things that were just disabled not uninstalled.
I have removed the myepisodes plugin and removed that path substitution code.

Still does the same thing, except i dont even need to play something. from the library view i click on a show, view its unwatched list, then come back to the library and everything shows up.

could it be something in one of the skins i have installed?
ok, so i completely removed kodi and delete all the data from the Android TV
Installed it and added the link to the database and it still has the issue.

Maybe its my view type?
i currently have it on the default setting, viewtype wall, sort by episode, filter unwatched.

The problem was reported end of last year and another user documented his findings in thisĀ https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=338808 thread.

It seems to be a rare issue, but the problem stills persists in my case.

From what I can tell by all of the posts on this in various places on the web, this is far from a rare issue. Someone had said it was working on their 17.6 Krypton, so I reverted back to that, and the problem still exists!

Any updates?
I also get this issue periodically and this has happened again now with no changes to my setup...
Did you ever get to the bottom of this?
