I know that the CD ripping has not been updated since several years, but I am currently able to rip CDs to FLAC files successfully. I am getting problems with other audioencoders (mp3, wav, ogg): that don't work.

As I am willing to troubleshoot the problem, which is the command/process that is launched for CD ripping? I can't find it in 'top' processes.

I guess you've seen the reply in discourse.osmc.tv, to your tops listing, that it is part of kodi.bin

So, no way to troubleshoot, no way to understand why it fails on mp3s?
