I`m curious how XMBC for Linux deals with hardware audio settings. Is it capable of changing the output settings to Stereo when a CD or MP3 song is played, and to 5.1/7.1 when a movie plays?
That`s a feature that is not offered by XBMC for windows, and the 2.0 stream gets embeded in 5.1 stream sent to the receiver (through hdmi) every time I want to listen to a music. As a result the songs sound like crap because only two front speakers are in use (without the subwoofer).
