Full Version: HD Videos tearing or stuttering on Kodi Leia

I have a problem with HD videos on Leia on my Android box. Picture tends to tear or stutter quite a bit. (I don't know what the correct term is for what's happening to me Smile)
Playing SD videos with hardware acceleration turned off plays without a hitch.

I tried out an earlier version of Kodi Krypton and I don't have that problem with HD videos (as long as I use Media Codec)

Here is the Kodi Krypton log:

And here are two Kodi Leia logs:
one is with Media Codec turned on:  https://hastebin.com/doqohehihe.sql  (here the video is completely unwatchable, it's tearing non-stop)
and this one is with Media Codec (Surface) turned on: https://hastebin.com/yiqeqokani.sql  (more watchable, but tearing is still noticeable and distracting)

Looking at the debug log info on screen, I see that on Krypton FPS is basically always around 59/60 FPS, but on Leia it can drop down to even less than 30 FPS. On SD videos on Leia it's also always at 59-60 FPS.

Any advice or is there a better Leia version out there?
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry about that.
Here are clean logs.

Two Kodi Leia logs (the first one with Media Codec turned on - constant stuttering, unwatchable; the second one with Media Codec Surface turned on - less stuttering, but still noticeable and distracting)
