Full Version: Force xbmc to pre-cache playlist items for smoother playback

Is there a way (within a script or in the xbmc options) to force xbmc to pre-cache/ the next item in a playlist to help offer (better) seamless playback of streaming files?

If not, should I request this in the feature request thread or is it technically impossible/not-gonna-happen?
