I use Kodi with a Plex backend via the plexkodiconnect add-on. I have many movies where I have both a 1080p and 4K version merged in my library and when I hit play...it’s asks me which version I want to play. Is there a way to just have it automatically play the highest quality (4K > 1080p) version instead of asking me?

I use Plex via Apple TV’s on my 1080p displays and only use Kodi with my primary 4K/HDR-capable display. I just haven’t been able to find any option/setting to bypass asking me and I’m not sure if that’s even possible.

Kodi does not do that. I would suggest it has something to do with plexkodiconnect or plex. Best ask there.
