I have the same problem as you. Some days ago I found out that the youtube site is not working anymore.
If I select the file to show nothing happens. I think the problem comes with the clipnabber procedure, am I right.

most of the problems should be fixed now (youtube, dailymotion, metacafe and googlevideo work for me on xbox... I didn't any tests on the other platforms ).

May be you will need to use a newer XBMC build

am i the only one having issues with the Youtube plugin?
i get the directory loading for ages.
im sure it was working great a few nights ago?

Did you update you release of XBMC?
Otherwise, yes there are at least 2 youtube plugin (one for video, one for channel) and one script (do a search on the forum to fin the topic and I also made them available via the Installer Passion-XBMC script).
But I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work with videoMonkey. Do you have anly logs showing the pb? It would help sfaxman to understand what is the issue.

i have done a update.
i noticed there used to be a update button in video monkey but that seems to have been removed in recent releases.

Everything in videomonkey works except youtube lol just my luck as thats the only thing i want to use.

Retrieved 0 items and seems to freeze.

its strange because i had it working the other day, i think i may have reinstalled xbmc since then.

I dont knwo where the log files are kept but id be happy to post mine.
im using windows vista 64 bit with xbmc 8.10

On which platform are you running XBMC?
I am asking because log location depend on the platform, here it is:

• XBOX: XBMC\xbmc.log
  
• Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\XBMC\xbmc.log or sometimes still in XBMC\xbmc.log
  
• Windows VISTA: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\xbmc.log or sometimes still in XBMC\xbmc.log
  
• MacOSX: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Logs/xbmc.log
  
• Linux: /var/tmp/xbmc.log
  

It is possible your issue is a compatibility problem between the script and your version of XBMC, but it should be the same with everything not only YouTube. Hopefully logs will give more info.

[edit] : my mistake I read too fast, you already mentioned you are on windows vista 64.

Google Video works and youtube crashes.

I just tested on an Xbox with the last T3CH (and even with an old Beta2) and I have similar problems (xbmc blocks trying to retrieve the list and any action is impossible) when I go on Youtube, but the logs don't give too much info, here are mine (debug mode was activated):

does this mean its server issue? and not likey to be something i can fix on my end?
Iv tried Reinstalling both xbmc and tried installing the plugin manualy.
Hopefully this can be resolved soon as i really liked the youtube fuction in this app.

same here, i tried :

deleted XBMC on console, deleted both 0face008 folders

downloaded XBMC-SVN_2009-03-04_rev18221-T3CH

xbmc works, most of VideoMonkey works (for example 3sat, dailymotion), but youtube hangs the console

can it be region related? When I connect to youtube in a browser for the first time it asks me for a region selection as I am from non English speaking country (youtube recognizes it from my IP). Youtube wont work untill I click what country I want it to default on.
