After having decided to go the PC route for blu-ray playback and finding out after spending £40 on a BD drive that kodi can't play any commercial discs without either third party playback software that already has the correct licenses or software that will remove the encryption on the fly while the disc is running, I'm wondering if I decided to go through the third party playback software route with it linked to kodi would the region code override in kodi be used or would the third party program manage that.
Also would the third party program control all media playback or can it be limited to a specific component (in this case only for the playback of blu-ray discs).
