Full Version: NFO files with only IMDB id

Hi!

I seem to remember being able to:
  • have a directory full of *.NFO files containing only an IMDB ID and nothing else and
  • having KODI match this IMDB ID with correct title from TheMovieDB.
Am I remembering this wrong?

At least it does not work for me. I have a directory full of *.STRM files and *.NFO files, each with the same filename (local title of the movie without year). Each *.STRM file contains a url and each *.NFO file an IMDB ID. The default scraper ignores the IMDB ID and instead goes by the filename only.

No, you need the full path. eg you need this https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4154796/?re...f_=nv_sr_1
This alone will not work tt4154796

And this only works if someone has added the IMDB ID to the entry at TheMovieDB
