Hi Kodi Team I'm not sure if this problem was posted before on XBOX one S. When I play a video with any codec, there would be no sound and the video would freeze after 10 seconds. The only way I'm able to correct the issue is to reset Kodi. It happens sporadically and been happening since Kodi came out on XBOX one (18....), not sure if i have the wrong set up or if anyone else have been having this problem.

Thanks for the reply. I have hardware acceleration disabled on XBOX because of driver issues, which produces green and black screens.
These lines in the log I provided:

Leads me to believe that there may be a hang up or loop that is stuck when opening a video or audio file. Maybe a codec fails to render which then throws all other attempts to play files out of whack. Just a thought.
Did anyone figure out how to solve this issue?

Looks like it's just having trouble accessing your SMB share.

During that particular session I was trying different methods to play different files on different settings. It even happens when i play videos from a local source. after analyzing the log file it seems that once this error appears
2020-03-10 16:02:09.293 T:6048 ERROR: ActiveAE::ActiveAE::CActiveAE::FlushEngine - failed to flush

Every file I try to play will freeze and it even hangs when closing the program. I did a fresh install of Kodi 18.6 on XBOX one S and will post a new log if it happen again.
Did you find a fix for this? I have a very similar issue, but on a NUC running Win 10.

Impossible to find a solution for this problem with Windows here

and I'm sure there is a conflict with Windows but don't find...
For me, whatever is causing this error "ERROR: ActiveAE::ActiveAE::CActiveAE::FlushEngine - failed to flush" on XBox one S and Series S causes Kodi to not function properly. Ive had this occur once on Linux. It's as if the audio data doesn't flush properly causing the next audio/video buffer to not be streamed correctly, which in turn causes the playback to time out. It used to occur only when I switch videos from one to another. Now its more often and Random. It doesn't occur on my Windows PC or Libreelec.
Just curious if anyone else is having this issue on series S or Xbox one S? I've uploaded a load a while ago, Ill up load a new one if itll help. This is the only issue I have on the Xbox besides the obvious.
Restarting the console works for me when I encounter no audio and video freezing.
This has been an issue with Kodi since v18.9 on xbox and restarting the xbox has always fixed the problem for me.
I have this issue on Series X. Not using SMB. Quitting the app and relaunching works for me.
I've had the same issue on my XBoneS sometimes on start and occasionally when changing what I'm watching, and restarting was the only thing that has worked for me. Now with Nexus I get audio but no video whatsoever.
