Hi,
pretty new in addon development and I am struggling with something I want my addon to do and I couldn't find anything on it by googling. Namely: Exectue a tiny task (like a Ping) before the MySQL database get's accessed. Is this even possible? Can I hardcode something like this into advanced settings (checked the wiki but didn't find anything)? Pretty much looking for any way to do something within Kodi, not external before the MySQL get's accessed.
