Leaving discovery to auto will work in most cases, if the servers base address has a path (https://192.168.1.5:32400/plex/ instead of https://192.168.1.5:32400/) then you'll need to use custom access urls.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please post a complete debug log (wiki)
Before posting a log in the thread I would sanitize it a bit first. Find and replace any server ip's with .'s or -'s, and any *Token=<token>.
Try to replace things using a consistent representation. ie. 192.168.1.1 is always replaced by 192.x.x.x, and 192.168.1.2 is always replaced by 192.y.y.y
The add-on hides this as best as possible but some leaks through with Kodi's logging. You're also welcome to PM it as well if still concerned.

If you really want to use it for library, I'd download the latest beta (see below) then see https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide...18-library

@Thomfam
I'm not sure I completely understand, can you get a couple screenshots?

@sonofdibnah

Follow up to request for Screen Shots:

I have numerous libraries in Plex using the Composite Addon.  I have updated to the most recent Composite, the version which changes "All"

My Movies work perfectly.

Here is a screen shot of a few of my Libraries (http://www.mediafire.com/view/r94opdya7m...1.jpg/fileImage)

So I click on 01 Movie Classics and instead of All I now get: (http://www.mediafire.com/view/fbcy9s0tzq...2.jpg/file).  This is perfect.

I click on my Library full of Music Videos and instead of All I now get (http://www.mediafire.com/view/7ny92ryaq3...3.jpg/file)  Also perfect.

But when I click on ANY library containing TV shows I get: (http://www.mediafire.com/view/iya9xvan0w...4.jpg/file) and not 04 TV Series.
@Thomfam
I see now, thank you. I don't think I can fix that. Might be able to be fixed in some way using Plex library management but I'm not sure.
I've updated 1.2.0 and it's now available from the GitHub release, and is currently waiting review for the official repository.
Code:

1.2.0
[add] added intro skipping (Requires Plex Pass)
[add] added lyrics info label for lyrics provided by Plex (Requires Plex Pass)
[add] added setting to configure forced subtitles as default(forced)
[add] added setting to configure mixed content type behavior
[add] added support for custom access urls (ie. nginx)
    - Main Menu - Manage Servers - - Custom access urls - Add custom access url
[fix] possible timestamp out of range for movies
[chg] All Movies, All Shows, All Artists, and All Photos are no longer shortened to All
[lang] German (de_DE) |contrib: Maven85|

Thanks for the follow up.  At least all the movie libraries change so that makes everything 50% faster from my end.

I forgot to ping you when it was first added, the latest alphas have intro skipping.

Thank you! It seems to be working well so far

This is NOT an official Plex add-on and is not supported or endorsed by Plex

Browse and play video, music and photo media files managed by Plex Media Server

Composite should work "out of the box" in most cases, as the default allows for automatic server discovery. If this doesn't work, then discovery can be switched off, and a manually entered host name or IP address can be used. If you are watching remotely, or on a bandwidth limited network, switch on transcoding to reduce the media quality to one that works best for you.

This add-on is a fork of PleXBMC by hippojay. A lot has changed so do not expect a 1:1 experience if you've used PleXBMC in the past.

Composite can be found in the Official Kodi repository, see Installation for more information.

Hey guys a question about this plugin, does this really stream only direct play and avoid Plex transcoder? It seems to be only direct playing now which is amazing, but I'm wondering if any compression is happening on the composite side?

If not how do they do this? Thanks for the awesome tool!
@Devmoo778
It's on the client to determine what it is capable of, Composite just assumes everything is playable by the host device unless the user has decided otherwise. There are some Transcoding settings and profiles available if they are required.
Composite does no compression of any kind, basically just passes along the playable url, and anything else that is required for playback.

Hi thanks for the reply! So basically your saying it's direct play, when would transcoding be "required"? I am using NVIDIA shield with Kodi and for things that Plex had to transcode (special subtitles burned in) - Composite didn't have any trouble direct playing with these burn in subs. Any reason Plex needs to transcode but not Composite? A Kodi specific feature?

Just verifying all these little details so I can make the switch to Composite and not worry about it actually transcoding secretly, just feels too good to be true!

Thanks!
Hi @anxdpanic, is there a widget that emulates the home ondeck from plex that combines all the different libraries ondecks into one?
@Devmoo778
For the subtitles, it's likely that the add-on is provided the subtitle location and it's just passed on to Kodi without the transcoding/burning.

Images will be transcoded if Settings - Advanced - Use full resolution thumbs/fanart are disabled.
Video will be transcoded based on the Settings - Playback - Transcoding section. In that section you can see some potential reasons transcoding might be required, including unsupported codecs on the device.

If you find that it is ever transcoding when it shouldn't be, let me know so I can fix it. Smile

Not currently, but something I can look at adding. Possibly to the add-on main menu as well.
I've done a couple of re installs of my Kodi and re installed Composite.  On all new installs on both my PC and Nvidia Shield I have found that despite selecting Settings Media, General, "Allow file renaming and deletion" I no longer am getting "Delete" as an option in the file's Context" menu.  I am using the Xonfluence skin.  Older installs are working fine, it seems to be only in affecting my new installs.  There have not been any updates for Xonfluence recently.
I think you've missed the setting in Confluence itself. Go to Look and Feel, there's a section for Context Menu. Enable Show the "Delete" context menu and voila.

Thanks for the reply,

I'm guessing you meant Xonfluence rather than Confluence.  The only "Look and Feel" I can see is for Look and Feel in My Addons.

Is 'Look and Feel' in Skin Settings, Player, Media Games, PVR and Live TV, Addons, Services, Interface or System? (All in Xonfluence)

Thanks

Found It, it is in Composite Settings, Look and Feel.  Thanks for the tip mate.  All good now!
